Municipal equipment fair MB Communal Show 2019

The main topics included utility maintenance of cities and municipalities, technologies and machines in utility maintenance, safety and safe operation on the move, waste management, SMART solutions for municipalities and cities, financing of purchase of technologies for maintenance, professional gardening and many others, and it gathered almost 200 professionals from the industry.

Given that MB Servis is the exclusive distributor of RASCO products for Slovakia, the MB Communal Show provided the perfect opportunity to present our new and redesigned machinery, with a special emphasis on maintenance and cleaning of cities during winter.

At the very beginning, Mr Roland Lauko, MB Servis company director, welcomed the visitors and continued with the presentation of RASCO’s production portfolio. Mr Lauko gave a summary of products characteristic for the Slovak market, with an emphasis on the VITER snow plough, the SOLID spreader for salt and other materials, and the LYNX compact sweeper – the latest addition to the RASCO product portfolio.

Novelties in the RASCO product portfolio

VITER is a novelty in the snow ploughing program, and is characterized by its robustness, strength and efficiency, which are particularly emphasized when cleaning deep snow on open roads such as highways and express roads. This winter season, VITER worked intensively at several selected locations all over Europe in extremely difficult weather conditions. Upon the completion of all tests, VITER will be put to serial production, and is expected on Slovak roads and in other countries where we export from winter season 2019/2020.

The SOLID range of spreaders, also presented in Slovakia, is also one of the flagship RASCO product ranges, so it is no surprise that it always provokes the greatest interest of partners and customers. Over the last couple of years, the SOLID spreader range has undergone a complete redesign to respond to feedback from customers from over 40 markets where RASCO operates. The main advantages of SOLID spreaders are an even wider range of configuration options, extreme precision and minimum maintenance requirements resulting in lowest total costs of ownership on the market.

Additionally, we have added a unique innovative chain conveyor system with a closed bottom to the new range of spreaders as a response to several difficulties encountered in standard chain conveyors commonly used for spreading heavy and humid materials. The serial production of the new generation of SOLID spreaders, as well as the VITER snow plough, starts before winter season 2019/2020.

Our LYNX compact sweeper, whose prototype was already presented at IFAT, attracted the greatest attention of everyone present once again. LYNX will be officially presented mid 2019, and the start of serial production is expected by the end of the year.

Live presentations with Unimog

After professional presentations, visitors were presented with the machinery in the form of static and working presentations outdoors. The powerful VITER snow plough installed on a Kubota tractor stood out among the static presentations. Besides VITER, the visitors could see the TRP tractor spreader and the SPECTRA crane mower. One of the seven trucks onto which we installed our machinery at the end of 2017, and delivered them to Slovakia, attracted the greatest attention in the exhibition part. The powerful combination consists of KALNIK XL snow plough, BSP side plough, SOLID spreader, and all accompanying installations. The static part of the presentation was rounded off by an overview of RASCO spreaders installed on different types of Mercedes-Benz trucks: SOLID C combined spreader on a Zetros, SOLID LLB salt and dry agent spreader on an Atego, and LIQUID agent spreader/water tank on an Arocs.

Unimog vehicles are one of the key parts of MB Servis sales programme, and also the main part of the MB Communal Show working presentations. Five Unimog vehicles upgraded with different installations for utility maintenance and traffic safety paraded around the drenched artificial lake in front of the visitors. As the authorized UnimogPartner by Mercedes-Benz, we are very proud that the Unimog U527 upgraded with RASCO winter maintenance equipment, the MOSOR snow plough and SOLID spreader, had a working presentation on Wednesday.

In addition to the Unimog vehicles, everyone interested in utility maintenance had the opportunity to see the small multifunctional MUVO vehicle upgraded with our BILO snow plough and SOLID spreader.
