After nearly eight months of construction, a new production facility within the RASCO production plant has been completed. The new production plant, covering a surface area of 1804.85 m2, has been added onto the existing Hall 3, and is intended for the production of municipal equipment, which is the main activity of the RASCO company.
Beside the construction of the new part of the production plant, the purchase of a vertical machining centre, CNC lathe and robot website to serve CNC machines was also subsidized. The project of construction of the Hall 3 Annex and the purchase of machinery were co-financed with 35% of the total eligible costs by the European Union, specifically the European Regional Development Fund.
The construction of the Hall 3 Annex is only the beginning of the investment project “Capacity Building and Technological Optimization for Sustainable Global Competitiveness of Rasco d.o.o.”. The total value of the project amounts to HRK 46,353,588.55, of which HRK 14,995,992.06 is co-financed by the European Union, and the project is implemented systematically from 6 June 2018 to 6 October 2020, explained Ružica Petričec Fabijanec, RASCO’s Finance Director.
Along with the expansion of RASCO’s existing production capacities, the Hall 3 Annex provides better storage of raw materials, providing space for a more functional deployment of existing machinery, shortening the transport and manipulative pathways of raw materials, and significantly accelerating the production process, all with the aim of boosting productivity and competitiveness.
The construction of the Hall 3 Annex is part of our three-year investment cycle, spanning from 2018 to 2020. During this period, we will invest more than HRK 71 million in a significant expansion of production capacities, increasing energy efficiency and development of new products, concluded Ivan Franičević, RASCO’s Chairman of the Board.
