Over four days, more than 1,000 student enthusiasts from all over the world tested prototype cars they engineered and build. Croatia participated with teams from Faculties of Mechanical Engineering of Zagreb and Split.

against all (weather) odds

The weather did not do a favor to the competitors, with heavy rainfalls several times each day. However, LYNX Charge prototype literally sucked excess water off the racing track. LYNX’s hard work earned ovations from the audience every time, and made sure the racers safely continue the competition.

Teams competed through static disciplines (engineering design, cost and manufacturing, business plan presentation) and dynamic disciplines (acceleration, figure eight driving, sprint races, endurance races). Each discipline was evaluated by judges from the top of the automotive and F1 industries. Students from Universities in Zagreb and Split also achieved notable results in certain disciplines.

“the coolest street cleaning machine in the world”

One of the judges, R&D engine expert at Porsche Vincenzo Bevilacqua, did not hide his enthusiasm for the LYNX Charge prototoype.

He called it “the coolest street cleaning machine in the world” on FSAA Instagram social network. You can also see the applause and ovations of the crowd every time LYNX Charge prototype came out.

FS Alpe Adria

Thank you to all the participants and the organization of FS Alpe Adria for a fantastic event. We were thrilled to see young alumni of the automotive industry in action, and are open to support events like this in the future.
