Since the company was founded in 1990, today, after 35 years on the market, RASCO products proudly take their place on all major roads across Europe and the world, which is the result of the long-term and dedicated work of all members of the large RASCO family.
First steps on the road
RASCO was founded in 1990 and is proudly and gratefully celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. It was founded by two visionaries, friends and enthusiasts, Frane Franičević and Darko Paviša, under the name “ZZR RAS”, looking modestly and with great hope to the future.
At the very beginning, the founders were engaged in the repair of machine tools, and the name “RAS” originates precisely from this field of business. Back then, in those pioneering days, the two partners could not have imagined that their machines with the proud name RASCO would become a symbol of reliability and quality that would be recognized on the roads of Europe and the world. Like skilled craftsmen, their dedication and vision successfully laid the foundations for what would later become one of the leading companies in the industry. Although the goals were only a vision at the time, they achieved them day by day, step by step, with incredible success.

Innovation as a driver of growth and development
Throughout these years, RASCO has set high standards for professional road maintenance equipment and constantly improved its products and services. Our dedication to innovation has enabled the development of products that meet high standards of quality and efficiency and are adapted to specific market requirements. By continuously adopting the latest technological trends, we are always one step ahead of the competition and contribute to the sustainable development of cities. Through innovation, our products increase productivity, reduce the environmental footprint and improve the safety and comfort of users.
The company’s production program consists of products for winter and summer maintenance of traffic infrastructure (snow ploughs, spreaders, boom mowers and related upgrades and attachments), the small universal vehicle MUVO, the compact vacuum sweepers LYNX 2000 and LYNX 5000, the control units and the fleet monitoring system ARMS.
The company’s first own product, the RAS towed truck-mounted spreader, was produced as early as 1994. This was just the beginning, and almost daily new and improved ideas contributed to the rapid development of the products and the rapid start of export and expansion to foreign markets. The start of exports required adaptation to new markets and the production of products that met the needs of users. The product range was expanded to include larger and more complex spreaders and snow ploughs, as well as boom mowers in order to enter the summer maintenance segment of traffic infrastructure.
One of the more significant steps on the way to expansion into foreign markets was the first deliveries of spreaders to the northern regions, where low temperatures and extreme weather conditions pose a special challenge. The first such deliveries went to Norway in 2007.
Until 2012, the focus was on equipment for summer and winter maintenance of traffic infrastructure, then the business was expanded to include the production of our own utility vehicles. It all started with the production of our own small multifunctional vehicle MUVO, which is a complete solution for all road maintenance needs in urban areas. Today, the MUVO maintains surfaces all over the world and has traveled to the most remote location of all RASCO machines – mowing and sweeping in Tasmania.
A new vehicle was launched in 2019 – the compact LYNX 2000 vacuum sweeper – available in two drive versions (diesel and electric). The LYNX 2000 sweeper is proof of RASCO’s commitment to developing cutting-edge technology for safer transportation and a cleaner environment. Developed in collaboration with users, it offers an unparalleled user experience – from the comfortable and well-organized cab to the perfect user interface, created based on years of user experience.
Five years later, the LYNX 5000 sweeper was introduced, which is available in three drive versions – diesel, electric and hydrogen. The LYNX H2 5000 represents a revolution in urban cleaning technology, as it uses a clean energy source and is the first compact sweeper with a volume of 5 m³ to introduce this technology.
