The SOLID spreader line is specially designed for dry, pre-wet and liquid spreading in one, and is adapted to work with different types of spreading materials.

Key benefits

The wide range of available solid spreader options enables you to meet all requirements in spreading precision, different spreading materials and different spreader functionalities.

Combining dry, wet and liquid spreading in one, solid reduces the overall costs and increases the utilization of one winter service vehicle.

Key benefits

The modularity of the SOLID spreader allows users to configure the spreader according to their wishes and special requirements. SOLID spreaders can be equipped with additional liquid tanks if the technical characteristics are met.

Combination of three systems of surface protection secures a long lifespan of the spreader even in the most difficult working conditions.

The combination of dry, pre-wetted and liquid spreading reduces the total consumption of spreading material and increases the efficiency of use of a single winter service vehicle.

High precision and efficiency of spreading are enabled by the quality of construction of all spreader components and the EPOS control unit which enables the control of all spreading parameters directly from the vehicle cabin.

Transport systems

Transport systems

The best choice for spreading with materials such as fine salt with a low moisture content or stone granules. Precision and efficiency of work with SOLID X is enabled by an auger conveyor system. The auger conveyor has a built-in fragmentation mechanism which prevents the passage of larger lumps of material for dry spreading onto the spinner.

Specially designed for work with the most demanding materials for dry spreading, such as wet and adhesive sand with a high percentage of clay, coarse sea salt or a mixture of different materials. High reliability and efficiency of the spreader is guaranteed by a strong chain conveyor which prevents the formation of a tunnel effect, regardless of the quality of spreading agents.

Intended for spreading with dry materials with low or moderate humidity. Reliability of spreading with more demanding materials using the SOLID T spreader is guaranteed by a rubber belt conveyor used for supplying the material. The shape of the belt conveyor prevents adhesion of the material, and a part of the conveyor system is also equipped with a fragmentation system for the spreading material.

SOLID XX uses two auger conveyors as the transportation element. Therefore, SOLID XX can be used as a spreader for one or two materials for dry spreading. If the spreader carries two materials for dry spreading, the hopper is divided into two sections.

Unique solution which combines the best characteristics of every known conveyor system. The main advantage of this system is the prevention of falling out of the spreading material into the box or on the vehicle chassis, providing simultaneous robustness and reliability of the steel chain conveyor system. This conveyor system ensures uniform discharging of the spreader and continuous fragmentation of the material for dry spreading before it is delivered to the distribution system.

Mounting options

Every spreader needs a vehicle.

RASCO offers a range of options for mounting spreaders on vehicles, from the most common RO-RO system, direct mounting to the chassis and hook-lift systems, to complex multipurpose solutions that turn vehicles into multi-purpose working machines.

Mounting on tipper box

System for mounting the spreader in a tipper box using RO-RO (Roll-On, Roll-Off) legs and rollers on the device itself is the most common and simplest mounting method. The spreader is easily attached to the tipper box by using tension chains or belts.

Mounting on vehicle chassis

Suitable in situations when the vehicle is used exclusively for road maintenance. Different devices, including the spreader, can be easily replaced on the vehicle chassis using specially designed carrying frames.

Mounting on tipper box balls

Fast and simple mounting using the existing sub-chassis of the vehicle tipper box and a special carrying frame on the spreader. The simplest mounting method that enables complete vehicle multifunctionality.

Mounting on trailers

Spreaders are mounted on tractor or truck trailers, thus becoming independent from the towing vehicle.

Mounting on vehicles equipped with hook-lifts

A specially adjusted spreader frame enables simple mounting on vehicles equipped with a system for raising devices using a hook.

Mounting on vehicles equipped with skip loaders

Simple mounting on vehicles equipped with a container lifting system is enabled by special attachment points on the sides of the spreader.

Mounting on the saddle of the vehicle

A system of mounting spreaders on trucks that turns the truck into a winter service vehicle. It involves a special adjustment of the spreader that fits it on the saddle of the truck.

Vehicles with built-in hydraulic system

SOLID spreaders can be powered using a built-in hydraulic system of the vehicle if it is designed according to the EN ISO 15431 standard. If the hydraulic system of the vehicle is equipped with LS, the spreader must be equipped with a compatible hydraulic installation that is available as an option.

Vehicles without built-in hydraulic system

If the vehicle is not equipped with a hydraulic system, the SOLID spreader can be powered using the highly reliable diesel-hydraulic power unit which is available as an option with the spreader. With this solution, the spreader becomes independent of the vehicle and can be easily and quickly moved to any carrier vehicle of sufficient capacity. In a particular edition, the diesel-hydraulic power unit mounted on the spreader can be used to power the front or side plough.

Power via the fifth wheel

Solution intended for vehicles without a built-in hydraulic system. The system consists of a wheel mounted directly onto the spreader and a hydraulic pump. While driving, the fifth wheel powers the hydraulics which enables the spreader to work.

Simple to use control system you can rely on

Every machine needs an easy-to-use and reliable control system, as power without control will not get the job done. RASCO spreaders are controlled by EPOS control units designed and developed by RASCO’s team of experienced engineers.

The knowledge and experience gained in 30+ years in various markets resulted in closed-loop control algorithms, intuitive, user-friendly design, unprecedented connectivity capabilities and a high level of automation in RASCO control units.

Thanks to the EPOS range of control units, RASCO spreaders get the job done the way you want it.

All information in real time

ARMS is an information and communication system for controlling central monitoring, reporting and optimizing activities related to traffic infrastructure maintenance. The system monitors in real time the working hours of people and machines, as well as resources consumed, such as the amount of used spreading salt, vehicle fuel, etc. This creates a unique opportunity to quickly decide on potential resource saving methods while at the same time protecting the traffic infrastructure and its surroundings.

The system gathers information on vehicle and work equipment usage in real time using GPS mobile data access, which is standard in almost every country in the world. ARMS reports allow fast and efficient monitoring of all tracked activities. The system is user friendly – each user can create the type, layout and form of the report according to their needs.

The information collection application is cloud-based and maintained by RASCO experts, reducing operational costs and the need for system maintenance by users. The system is accessed through a simple web interface from any computer.
